Henry Tuke

Henry Scott Tuke (1858 -1929), was an English ar tist; his most notable work was in the Impressionist style. Trained at the Slade School of Art, Tuke developed a close relationship with the Newlyn School of painters, his work being exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts, of which he became a Full Member. He was an established maritime ar tist and produced many por traits of sailing ships.
