H J Jackson
H. J. Jackson is a Senior Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and a member of the Society of Wood Engravers. He cut his first lino block during his last year at school in 1953 and subsequently attended the Norwich Art School. The declining fishing industry, derelict buildings and Norfolk scenes feature strongly in John’s work. His printing is carried out entirely by hand-burnishing, using a tobacco tin.
